So less buggy feature updates that break it for some? πŸ˜€

Awesome, keep it as feature and let users manually select what updates they want to get.

Starting in may? What is this nonsense? They should start NOW if they want to do this. Bizarre decisions.

So they'll begin working on Windows11 in May. 2 guys from the security office will have to deal with all the left over stuff. xD

They're just now getting the memo? It should have been like this from the start. Maybe then they wouldn't have needed over FOUR YEARS (or whatever it ended up being) to hit the 'billion devices' mark. I still miss Windows 2000 and Windows 7 sorely. This Windows 10 is a nightmare to work on day to day, I still haven't 'gotten used to it'. Heck I had to use WindowBlinds software and Start10 just to put it back to the old way of working/looking (does it just a little better than OpenShell, but OpenShell should work for 98% of folks just fine)... plain flat grey.

So no forced upgrades and continued lack of communication that you are about to updated?

Windows is buggy. Hahah haaaa. That was a good and very original joke. Haven't heard this joke about Windows in the last 30 years. Hey everybody, we've got a comedian over here!

Dont even joke about that. I hoping MS holds true to what they said which window 10 was last number release, and all update will be build updates forever. yah that will probably not happen Though MS should have this stand for year or so now, cause there need priority on stabled over features.

I lol'ed hard when I started to read this!!! πŸ˜€ MS themselves think that their update aren't stableXD Then I thought how good it is to being linux user πŸ™‚ BTW. Would be good to do an article about linux and gaming. It's better and better every year and some comparisons would be good read to morning coffe.

I see a lot of Linux users in this thread.

Yeah in my experience with both my personal PC and at work across the network - Win 10 started off pretty bad but recently (last year or so) has been much better. Still have occasional issues - mostly related to start/store but rest of the OS has been pretty stable for me.

"BTW. Would be good to do an article about linux and gaming. It's better and better every year and some comparisons would be good read to morning coffe." Yeah, said the same 1% of gaming market for the last two decades. The problem is that segment wants it all for free and support from corps for hardware for free. There's little to no revenue incentive for linux gaming...because you folks want it for free. There's no revenue in writing just for you and 3 others.

I'd say my experience is about the same. I'd argue our experience is typical. Better yet, it's typical for every new OS release. Considering the literally trillions of permutations of hardware and software out there, it's almost miraculous it doesn't collapse from sheer complexity.

Not sure where you are getting that from, I paid for my windows games and use steam proton or lutris to play them on linux since I abandoned windows a year ago, I would continue to buy games if they came natively for linux but they're not.

Umm...from folks like you who just made my point. There's no revenue. You paid for a Windows game. You're not paying for the support and time to get it run on linux. You getting that and you expect that for free. You're not able to buy a native linux game because, as I said, there is no revenue. linux users paradigm is to expect Nvidia and AMD and intel to support their hobby OS for free. Again, the problem is NO REVENUE. It's your choice, and your limitations that go with it.
