Is it me or does that game list look tired? Maybe I'm getting old but new and original games are so rare these days it hurts!

They should provide support for xbox one x for 3 years since xbox series x official year of release, 2020-2021-2022 to be legal and non anti-consumer. We never got many xbox one x enhanced games and never all got enhanced. XSX will face the same fate as X1X.
You can go an check the list with X1X enhanced games. It isn't big, not big at all. Microsoft has a debt to pay for gamers bought that enhanced X1 console or they could be brought down to court for abandoning it.
That's why for 2 more years, we are gonna get both X1X enhanced and XSX optimized games. So they will be hitting two birds with one stone. 😉

Wow... that's like Nintendo trying to launch a console without Zelda or Mario. This will not end well for Microsoft. People will most likely hold off buying the console until they can play several decent AAA games on it.

The only hope for MS at the moment is a bundle of console with xbox series x "signature" game. Buyer needs to feel those graphical "upgrades". As far as it seems no "exclusives" or interesting optimized options for 2020. It should be pushed back to 2021 but people would buy ps5 in Black Friday or Holidays. Microsoft is in deep trouble.

The worst thing is that Microsoft's "marketing". I have many android phones that support hdr and I can enjoy YouTube, Netflix and Amazon Prime.
Xbox one x, cannot give 1080p/1440p 60/120hz hdr signal. It's only doable at 4k uhd. TrashboxX.
I have no clue if this gets fixed in xbox series x. If I am forced only 4k uhd hdr, I will turn into pc gaming only and ps5 exclusives. Enough with 60fps.

Microsoft is so lost. They bought a bunch of studios that make non-hit games, and their internal studios are still hamstrung by the Xbox One requirement.
I used to love the Xbox brand. The original box and the early days of the 360 were exciting times to be an Xbox owner. But once the put their money behind Kinect, they turned away from the core gaming market and have expected Halo/Gears/Forza to carry them along for the last 10 years. Those IPs were old and tired in 2012, and they're still trying to use them to sell hardware. I just don't get it.
I still use the XO controller weekly for games on the PC, and use it with an adapter when I play PS4. I still like the Achievement system better than any of the clones. I wish they would give me a reason to come back to their platform, but I haven't seen a single game that's drawing me back. Not to mention the luxury performance on PC.

I think all the negative feedback about Halo Infinite made the delay it and they are just using covid as an excuse. The game looked seriously watered down in the graphics department even if it was running at native 4k60fps. The game has some really poor textures, low AF, and literally zero shadows/AO on characters or objects in the environment. And people say "oh the final lighting pass hasn't been done yet".... give me a break, you think a company is going to show off their biggest franchise so close to release in such an unfinished state? Really? The games scale/size and the ambition to hit native 4K with a locked 60fps has made them have to draw back the graphics in literally all areas. They have seen the response being negative with people saying how bad it looks for a triple A next generation title and they have sent it back into the oven for some major reworks. They said new release is 2021.... is that January? Or is that August next year?
They did, the Gamecube launched with Luigi's Mansion.
Mario Sunshine came 8 months later, and Wind Waker came over a year later.
