Wow! Damn it... Yersterday, for first time since I had DX4 @100Mhz ( OK, OK my E6600 CPU did it, too, on XP ) my PC was truly slow, like when we had 3-4 programs open and was crawling back then. Meanwhile, I only had a Torrent downloading, a game ( alt tab ) and browser open. Never seen my PC crawling and it was truly disturbing. Thought a virus or something since I don't use any antivirus. Still couldn't find anything. Process explorer was reporting less than 9% overall CPU usage. No culprit on the horizon.
After I did the reboot, it stack at loading screen. Second reboot all went fine.
I hope this will take care the situation, but Microsoft mentioned: "Customers that download updates directly from Windows Update (Home and consumer devices) or Windows Update for Business are not impacted. "
What exactly does it mean? Is my PC affected? I use the Pro version... Anyway, fingers crossed.

I sure received them through windows update and no issue here.
Well if you haven't experienced boot issues probably you are not affected as well.

This is just one of the reasons I ditched Windows, in addition to spyware/adware that comes pre-installed...

Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) or System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) were only affected.

I never experienced a single BSOD on Win 7. Ever. I've never experienced one on Win 10 either.....

How does a BSOD looks like on Win7/8/10? Is it still blue? 😕 😱

Omw! Not again! If my pc get this update, then it will be the 3de time for me to get a bsod after updat. What is wrong with the guys at Microsoft, don't they check their work? I so badly wish there were an alternative OS that had the support Microsoft have. I will switch in a blink of an eye.

The last time I had a BSOD was under Windows 8.1 when I upgraded my desktop from 16 to 32GB of RAM because of having 4 RAM chips installed on my board I needed to increase the voltage of the RAM due to it being unstable because of the 2 extra chips.
Windows 8/8.1 has the same BOSD as Windows 10 with the frown based emoticon.
Damn Dude that sucks. I had a similar issue where I put my laptop into hibernation mode and it turned it self on to install updates lucky for me I didn't have in a bag when it was warm on the bottom after a few hrs of being on.
