I am surprised they kept gold going this long to be honest, as once they launched GP as it seemed quite a pointless service, and moreso as for the last 4 years you could stack 3 years of GP for £70, which is just £20 more than 1 year of gold.

And what about the xbox one game that you get from the xbox 360 with gold (those that are marked owned and not game with gold in library)... Good question isn't it? Anyway it will make space on HDD lol 🙂

In Euro zone it is not the same things the gold is 58 Euro by year, the core pass will cost 10 Euro by month and so 120 Euro by year... Around +100% extra cost for less game... thank you M$ 🙁

^^^You can buy xbox gold and GP and GPU from other regions way cheaper, then use a VPN to redeem them on your account, that has always been the good thing about xbox accounts, they are not region locked. 😉 As a example last year i topped up my GPU with codes bought from turkey, which cost £6.99 for 3 months, i stacked another year of GPU for under £28. 😉

Why the heck do people on consoles still have to pay for online multiplayer in 2023? It should be a core service of such a device.

Why would MS, Sony and Nintendo offer it free when people are happily paying for it?
