Devs won't bother with this feature and amd and nvidia won't bother supporting it if any driver tweaks is needed

It's mostly just huilun02, who posts negatively about Nvidia in literally every topic. I mean it's one thing if you don't like Nvidia because you owned a 970 and had problems, or for some other valid reason. Like I pretty annoyed at them over the 690 multi-display support when I first got my 690, I posted some harsh stuff. But when you come into a thread like this and your only contribution to it is "Nvidia gonna be flipping mad. They'll probably do whatever it takes to break cross vendor compatibility." you're just a giant flamebaiting troll.
How about you And Spetz Calm it down, now.

NV Physix is disabled if u use a NV card as secondary card and AMD as primary
Not that I've tried it but apparently that restriction has actually now been lifted for at least a year. I was wondering: does this mean someone could shove four dual GPU cards into a PC and finally reap the benefits for gaming?

+1. They're probably coding it out right now in their drivers...
Wouldn't that mean they wouldn't receive any more WHQL certificates for their drivers going forward? Not that it means all that much anyway, but still.

why so much nvidia hate lads?

Although these comments are probably not directed at me, if you examine Nvidia's past actions in regards to running PhysX on an Nvidia GPU alongside an AMD GPU, you get the feeling that Nvidia does not want their products running in tandem with their main competitor.

I can see this as a good and a bad thing. Good being that you might be able to utilize both AMD and Nvidia card's potential such as a game running better on an AMD card and vise versa for an Nvidia card however the bad thing is one or both companies might try and stop this because it might be bad for competition. Plus I don't think game devs would focus on this.

I doubt anyone complaining has actually tried, it's all just what they've read. I really dont think this is true, or if it is no developer is actually going to be stupid enough to subject themselves to supporting it. Could I throw in my old 570 and have 5.2gb vram at varying speeds? How would a game deal with a 390x and Titan X in the same system, do the devs decide what does what, AMD/Nvidia.... How would vram be worked out etc.....

I think alot of the hate comes from Nvidia practices lately, For me it was when they basically shat on the vesa standard because they want u to buy the more expensive Gsync and then u have the outrageous titan pricing. I like Nvidias products but they are coming off as evil.

The closest estimate we have today is probably PhysX. It's very unlikely different cards will be used together in Sli/CF. Having the second card for something specific like the physics is probably more viable.

Advice Just believe me guys AMD will rock(300%-400% gain) under directx12,no need anymore for expensive nvidia... AMD was optimized for Mantel and directx 12 its the same thing, im not a fan of amd or nvidia.

I will never put a Nvidia product i my case and no need for it also. Soon have AMD 390X why do i need Nvidia crap in my rig?

390X + Titan X = owesome? 😀

what about 2 780 in sli and 390x..

That sounds like a can of worms in terms of optimization. And i think it will have more problems than benefits.

Why? They are Bad guys or something? I think it will be fun to have PhysX and Radeon with Free Sync
Yeah considering, when Nvidia initially introduced the ability to dedicate a 2nd card to physx in their drivers, it worked if you were using an AMD card. They then subsequently actively chose to break it, and crap on the consumers that weren't absolutely loyal. They also came out to say that won't support adaptive sync, when its basically apart of the free spec. I personally support/use AMD products not out fanboy-ism, but hate anti-consumer behavior displayed by other companies. I don't much like the idea of handing over money to get my face spat on.

"There is a massive issue though. Lots of the optimization work for the spreading of workloads is left to the developers – the game studios." A whole lotta optimizations must be done on their part but I doubt seeing any dev committing to this on top of making their game and/or on multiple platforms. Just means more money and resources to do this which I believe they won't be willing to. Mixing AMD & Nvidia is just good for the consumer and probably not so much for these two companies.

Please refrain from troll posts like this in the future, thanks. This goes for everyone too.

Wow much AMD fanboy's don't like Nvidia cause nvdia getting more open, crazy fanboy's :thumbdown

Different arcs be an issue ? Maxwell, GCN, and also GW, GE. AMD and Nvidia would have to join their GW and GE programs together, as the games would have to have both sets of features in, due to everyone running both cards together in their rigs 😀

diver nightmares incoming? as it is dont have leftovers of Amd/Nvidia drivers on system when switching cuase issue ? or is that some people made up over the years
