Ok, this is very big and important news. Let's all hope it will come down to benefit us consumers with better/new products.

No benefit for us, my dear colleague.
The moment M$oft puts it's hand on some hardware manufacturer marks the end of that manufacturer. Bye, bye, good Nokia phones, good morning to neverending problems, bugs, BSODs etc.
I'll suggest the new name for this merger: Micro$oftia.

All they needed to do was build an Android phone, the company is still stuck in the 1990's.

MS is already one of the best companies to work in here in Finland. But anyway, this was logical move.

Too bad. They used to make great phones .. my parents still use my old Nokia N73 and N95 8GB.

ms is building a new datacenter to finland \o/ huzzah. Nah I'm not exactly worried that ms bought nokias phone line, since nokia didn't have the resources to compete anymore anyways, while ms does.

nothing will change where i live:
-selling nokia phone is like selling a car with square wheel
-windows phone is only "on demand" and no more in shop since a long time
another Balmerosoft's fail that his successor will have to do with.

I miss Bill Gates. It wasn't commonly called Microshaft when he was in charge.

hahaha now he is coming back to msft's HQ with a new army to kill android and ios, he earned the CEO chair imo
well now they gonna call em Lumia xxx instead of "nokia lumia xxx" the "nokia" part makes it a double branded thing like "apple iphone" well you know what i mean... i hope it doesnt end like "microsoft lumia xxxx" that would be awful, all im worried about is if they can keep the superb build quality, distintic designs and camera superiority that nokia is known for, they better do

Guys has any member here used or owns a Lumia 925 or 1020? Of course if any did they would probably already had jumped in by now but anyhow.. :P
I ask because they seem like good/solid offerings. So I would love to see a few constructive comments from fellow members that owns them.
