MediaTek closed source code so no custom ROMs. Its why I prefer only Qualcomm based devices/phones.

Not only that, but it makes installing Linux on such devices more complicated than it needs to be. There are so many ARM devices I would buy immediately if it weren't for the poorly maintained and closed-source drivers.
