I guess that's actual 1 Gbps performance, which should be good for people with good household connections. Hoperfully we'll see devices with AX in 3 or 4 years as the norm.

Where I live we have 1GB fiber. But I get about 200mb down and about 225 up. Sometimes it pushes 300mb. I am hooked up to my nighthawk X6 in 5ghz A/C 867mbs connection to as a wireless extender bridge. My room is in the back corner of the house, and router is downstairs. Its not my house, so I can run cables the walls and under the house. When I tested my HTPC downstairs, I got 967mb down and 995mb up while on a cat5e cable too on an old q6600 rig. I hate being on wireless but having a decent TP link 5ghz A/C router downstairs, and my nighthawk X6, its not too bad. Just hate missing out on the extra bandwith there is on the table.

I was thinking between getting 300/300 Mbps or 1/1 Gbps in my flat in Barcelona, but taking into consideration that none of my devices will properly take advantage of the Gbps connection... I might as well just get 300/300 Mbps and upgrade if needed further along.
