Not being able to have correctly proportioned screens for the playback of all movies.
In general, home cinema is very loose term because of this, unless you have a spare barn.

Ridiculous, all proportions can be displayed.
If you want no black borders on anything, then you will need a different TV or projector for every single different aspect ratio.
Its not a problem with the TVs, its a problem in your head.
A 1080p TV can display all 1080p content and less res without issue.

LG has a 27" also. The EA83, at2560x1440 resolution. Perfect for a tri monitor race or flight sim set up. I'm really tempted. Anyone here found a proposed cost for either of these?

Agreed, looks sexy. Would LOVE to see how it look & performs with regards to gaming.
Skyrim or Battlefield 3 would look AMAZING.

that's a low price, too.
Wonder what Dell is going price their equivalent 21:9 model for...$1000 dollars? Bare in mind it's gonna use the exact same panel as LG are using.

At about $650 U.S.,the price is right. For ANY decent 29" monitor,$650 is a good price. I wonder how they will price the EA83 27"? A better monitor in my opinion. Either way,it looks like that's the future of TV's and monitors. About time too.

Aye, that is a nice television for sure, but certainly isn't suitable for puttin on a desk.
I think the 150inch 4k resolution Panasonic plasma beats it though, by quite a yard.

Ok, this is confusing me.

When I click that link it takes me to a store page and to be sure I clicked around some more and found links in different countries where Dell sell that monitor and it's available...so I do not know why you can't see it, sorry.
Can someone else please confirm I'm not going insane 🙂

BTW- I love how the one on the European site is so much more expensive. Based on a quick Google search it's just under a thousand USD in the UK, versus $700 in the US.
