That's cool looking and I'd buy one
Looking at your username, I can understand why you prefer an encryptic drive.

Seems easy to bypass with a Dremel.

probably if the nand is encrypted it will be hard to break, but if you have the right tools bruteforce it isn't impossible (i guess, i'm not a digital security expert)

I'm not either, but one hint in the article should have told you that this is impossible to break: "XTS-AES 256bit encryption" 256bit means this amount of combinations possible: https://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=2^256 ~0.0012 × the number of atoms in the visible universe (˜ 10^80) It will probably be faster to evolve technology enough to visit the entire galaxy than to break 256-bit encryption.

well, thats a very big number.. who knows, maybe using a cuantum computer? just kidding, i get it is imposible xD

If we had a 100% functional quantum computer .... With the scale in qubits at least half the gates of a modern CPU and half the frequency .... It could break it in a second maybe less. You see qubits have 3 conditions .... 1 an 0 .... And both at the same time ! If quantum computers become a thing first we have to up our encryption game by a million fold !

Brute-force decryption is a worst case scenario. Someone / something knows the key to be able to decrypt it. The difficulty of breaking its encryption is how difficult it is to leverage an exploit to be able to retrieve it. These devices generally tend to have a secure element in hardware which makes the retrieval of the key almost impossible without destroying it.

So if some child enters a few wrong passwords while messing with it, they can erase the entire contents of drive in a few minutes? I don't think I'd put anything important on that myself.
