I fail to see how this 55-inch 4k/60hz LCD TV for almost 1400$ is newsworthy in 2021, when a 4k/120hz 55-inch OLED TV can be had for the same price. Unless the price of it is newsworthy which in that case, okay!

The truth is that LG murdered the display market, pure and simple. Prices are already low enough so that burn in is becoming more of a non issue and if components shortages won't become a problem in the short term, OLEDs will just become cheaper and smaller. I'm not saying that there won't be a market for LCDs anymore, but they just have to become cheaper and shouldn't hide their absurd prices behind marketing gimmicks.

I bought a 8k 60 4k120 LG 55Nano 95 series 2 months ago for £1000 Monitors/Displays are just stupid considering. I think its due to the fact monitors/displays are calibrated/measured displays where as TV's tend to be not measured. Instead theres just a spec they adhere to
