Its a binned 9900k. Just like the 8086k was a binned 8700k. Lots of normal 9900k's can reach all core 5Ghz, but I guess if you want to pay for the guarantee.... My 9900k does 5.1ghz all core @ 1.3v. But yeah, at least the Intel CPUs can actually reach their advertised clock speeds.

Yeah and pay for that extra price. You don't even notice a performance difference at the Zen 2 CPUs that can't hit the max boost clock as the 200 Hz boost clock difference between the 3600 and 3600X results in nearly 0 performance difference. Hope you cried so much about the GTX 970's 3,5 GB issue. 80% of the PC builders realized Ryzens have much better value than Intel (Mindfactory, Japanese sales). You are in the milked 20%. GLHF blue boy.

https://www.techspot.com/article/1880-ryzen-3600x-vs-3600/ ~4% performance increase for a ~4% clockspeed increase - "nearly 0 performance" You should keep writing the same thing in every thread though I think after 8 times you'll finally be right.

GLHF blue boy. On intel it's the same, between 4.8 and 5.0 there is almost no perf increase... (exept some that consider 2FPS as a huge gain lol) Also on price argument it depend a lot on where you are. In here: - Intel I9 9900KS: 579,95 Euro - AMD Ryzen 9 3900X : 639,94 Euro Both aviable soon milk argument is invalid as motherboard also are at the same price since few years Anyway i have both side dual Xeon + Quadro to work and Athlon GE (Ryzen) for anything under TV set. AMD or Intel? up to the user taste because at the end it's the same

Big yawn. Anyone wanna chat about weather? Because about CPUs is too much hassle.

How about, let's both keep fan boy posts out of here everyone.

The forum in the Intel slides awesome.Going to be a good gaming CPU,I would never give up my AMD CPU for this but for those who buy this.Enjoy.

I seriously doubt the info on the last slide

I consider this similar to the 9990XE - a specialty product designed to feed the e-peen. It could also be Intel's attempt to spoil the launch of the 3950X (and possibly Threadripper). As I've said elsewhere, I see little point in such a CPU (if you want string single-core performance then buy the 9900K, and if you want strong multi-core then buy AMD), but I'm sure fanboys will gobble it up.

prepare your bath with cold water to cool this thing

"The existing Core i9 9900K, which has one core active up to 5 GHz" the 5 GHz turbo applies up to two active cores. -andy-

100% agreed!!! Especially the HEDT-ones for socket 2066 or whatsoever socket it'll be, but hey... if intel keeps word, why not. 🙂

Rumor has it they are sniping the best of the cores for the KS and leaving the K and KF in the dustbin. So the K and KF are essentially obsolete.

Oh Intel, unless you get 10nm working efficiently, you can't compete. The last 3 years Intel has been loosing mindshare, and that shows on sales. I'm all in for competition, and hope Intel finally brings 10nm fabs up and running, or soon AMD will find that they can charge more for hardware too!

cpu talk is boring, id rather watch flies shag. that said it would be nice to see some 5ghz 4 core parts with 2666mhz ram or higher, not everyone is running skynet.

No offense but that’s a little hypersensitive of you to “warn” users that pointed out something that is factually correct. OT- I wonder if the price of this will be higher than the 9900k or will they slot is at the $500 spot and lower the 9900k price?

Its not hypersensitive. Fanboys are cancer and ruin threads. And Intel ones are the worst right now. Too much little penis syndrome as of late. As a user of both sides, I can not stand Intel fans right now.

New hardware is always fun, no matter the color 😀

Still too expensive... Intel needs to release better stuff or to drop the prices of the existing one...
