With only quad cores, I see the possibility of getting high speed, without burning socket to the ground. This should be aimed for enthusiastic consumers.

They did that 4.4 GHz 130 W dual core a few years back on the Westmere architecture, I guess this is the modern-day equivalent.

IBM has had 5GHz CPUs for years now. The only difference is theirs were actually intended to run at that speed. This Intel... seems like one of those "huh... turns out this just happens to work" moments - not something I personally would want something mission critical to revolve around.
