Already see Raja's hand in this.Intel has to pay royalities to AMD to use Vega, and both benefits in the long term. But it sounds so incredible, until you see it. Raja gets a new job, but turns the tables to his former employer to get a chunk of cash for the Vega.Sounds like a win-win.

I don't think so. I think this was announced or rumored long before Raja started at Intel. Also i doubt Intel will change the way they do business just because of Raja's recommendations. I think this is the result of ryzen and more important now that AMD has a competitive CPU, the APU area. AMD is in front now and will stay there. If you can't beat them, join them, at least for the moment. Raja at Intel will probably try to revive Intel's GPU solutions, but it will take time.

You seem to think things happen a lot faster then they actually do. He's been with intel for what, 2 months? And you think they just slapped together all of this and made it work in 2 months? That's not how it works....

That looks like quite the abortion. Not sure why anyone in their right mind would do something idiotic like this. BGA filth on steroids, in search of silly people that like to waste money on anemic and disposable tech garbage.

You do realize this is for mobile purposes, right? We're likely going to see these in ultrabooks, which are supposed to be high performance in a thin package. You can't get the level of performance that this i7 has with an LGA or PGA setup in an ultrabook or tablet. As an enthusiast, I prefer upgradability over stupid fads like thinness, but I think this will be a legitimately good platform. By the time this would become obsolete, there wouldn't be anything to upgrade to anyway, seeing as Intel intentionally breaks chipset compatibility and AMD breaks legacy APIs.

I made an assumption, that's all.I doubt that what I said is a fact, or it could be.
