Can't wait. Let the war begin. Hopefully they can improve drivers , right now it is trash.

Hope they try compete with prices forcing Nvidia and AMD to drop their prices too.
At least on the low and mid end at start.
They have a really good chance to sell many if they release soon and it is going
to be interesting to see how many gets in the hands of people not intending
to use it for mining if they build them in the US. But I am not sure where they build
their GPUs thou.
Either way I hope both hardware and software works well and hopefully this will benefit
everyone wanting to buy a new GPU no matter what brand they prefer.:)

Why would anyone prefer a brand over raw performance?

I hope this will be competitive in the low and middle tier. And I hope Intel can compete in the high end too, maybe in 2 or 3 generations.

Lots of reasons just look what some of the users on this forum want/need or not.
For me it is mostly work related, kind of bound to Nvidia GPUs but I also prefer them
and AMD CPUs have lots cores that is also helpful.
Wanted to buy a 6800XT just to try it, but because shortage I rather that
someone that really needed it got it instead.
Thou honestly if you want raw performance in everything currently you most
likely need both a build with Intel CPU and a build with AMD CPU + a AMD GPU
and a Nvidia GPU.
Any combination of those will give you best performance depending of what you
are running and what resolution it is running.
Most people have to choose one brand CPU and one brand GPU without
spending to much money thou.
Those that can choose any without needing or wanting a certain brand are lucky. 🙂
When Intel comes around with their GPUs there will hopefully be even more choices.
Actually I do not think anyone wants a CPU or a GPU that is best in everything
because that would just increase prices. Like Intel and Nvidia been for many years.
As long as they all are kind of similar they have to compete with prices instead. 😛

with miners winding down and intel joining in, this end of year will see a flood of GPUs like never before

What ever it is i hope for the best competition is what we want 🙂

Intel may have an advantage since the make their owns chips.
We will have to see how competitive they are. Intel has a history of putting a premium on there goods.

Lets hope in best mining performance to finally have NVidia card available for gamers.. Intel is welcome to take this market.
