Looks like Intel is downgrading CPU line, cause AMD cannot go faster. 4 cores and treads are so OLD.

Oh FFS, fix the lineup already! Now we are going to have Pentium and Celeron brands intermixing Haswell and Bay Trail processors. That, and the number line up is friggin gibberish, no other way to put it.

Will there be a K of the 4771?

that naming scheme is horrible, ideally an enthusiast should be able to differentiate the different classes by sight. not this horrible mess

I have to agree. Buyers can be easily confused...

The i7 4770K is that.... The only difference between the 4471 and 4770K are the addition of a QPI link, VPro, VT-d, TXS, TXT and the locked multi.... http://ark.intel.com/compare/75123,77656

Well, AMD does not have 8 core processors. They have four "modules" that can do two threads at once and they share stuff (which is one reason why their single thread performance is quite poor). As result, multi-threaded performance will be comparable (but usually slightly lower) to quad core Intel with HT but single thread performance is lower. Their modules are essentially cores with hyper threading.

Can you elaborate please.

Actually he's not wrong the FX processor does not have two full size cores per module it has integer cores that have a shared cache so his way of thinking is not flawed as both cores can't be active at the same time.

Wow that naming schemes is just wow...... It will be quite confusing to the regular person shopping around for a system.
