pre-ordered, thank you Jesus and Intel!

Other then using optimization software on the 14900ks only, this is the most honest graphs I have seen from Intel in a long time.

That price is... Nice...

Im surprised. Even Intel admits 7800x3d is faster in gaming.

People give way too much importance in gaming performance ! Is not like suddenly anything else can not play games ! Or the older gen CPUs explode! And yes I did the same exact criticism when Intel was the gaming king you can find my posts if you wish !

Gaming is of the most importance. If your CPU is a productivity monster but still looses to mine in gaming your CPU sucks 😀 Silly as it sounds but it is how these companies push these products. Gaming performance comes first.

Mr.Undying, if your priority is workstation loads and you happen to like to game afterwards, you will most certainly appreciate the 14900 over a 'gaming' cpu. Remark(note); Xeons cost thousands of dollars for a reason.

If my priority was workstation loads, I'd be buying a Threadripper. There's no reason for this CPU to exist other than to sit on top of gaming and overlocking benchmark charts - and that's perfectly fine. It works as a marketing gimmick, and if some people decide that it fits their needs, then even better.

Like a broken record, trolling all day every day. All those 350-500€ CPUs are within few percentage of each other in gaming. There are no CPUs that "suck" in this price range. Whatever you buy you'll get a great gaming chip.

Exactly. People act as though the 7800X3D is untouchable in gaming, when it's only about 5 or 6% faster than the 14900KS on average.....and that's with a stock or near stock configuration, which favors the 7800X3D. As I've stated many times now, you can easily tune the 14900K to faster gaming performance by tweaking the memory and surpassing the 7800X3D. The 7800X3D is still the best gaming CPU though, due to its performance per watt advantage, which is huge.

And if you are gaming at 4k, the margin is even less. Or virtually non-existent with any GPU less than a 4090.

I had few friends that where breaking my balls about my 5800x being such a bottleneck with my 4070super ..... Considering I am playing 1440p 75 hz .... Pretty much staying on everything locked 73 fps (limited by me due to freesynch range of my monitor 48-75) I am almost positive the GPU will be the first limiting factor achieving 73 fps before the 5800 can't .. and if my CPU can max 200 fps on a game with this card while another can do 300 fps I am very positive I will survive!

A 5800X is good for 75 fps in nearly all games, so yes the only way you'd hit a bottleneck is if it's a GPU one. Side note: 144-185Hz 1440p IPS screens no longer cost a ton if you wanted an upgrade. It took literally 10+ years, but the monitor market is slowly starting to crawl forward now.

14900K/KS not even worth the time it takes to replace my 13700K LOL. CPU progress so much slower than GPU that it gonna take at least 4-5 year for a noticeable leap in CPU performance.

Mister Krizby, you are most likely not the target audience for this cpu upgrade oath:D someone from a dozen generations back would be able to absorb all the speed increase benefits.

Who is that? Someone who needs a new board and memory so he can get this cpu that is at end of its life as a platform?

But Sir, if the previous processing unit lasted said user 10 years, having a dead end platform last another 10 years isn't of concern.

Idk 12/13gen users are probably not gonna upgrade to 14gen and anyone building a new system AMD is the way to go.

Why are we still discussing this. This CPU isn't meant for an average gamer. It's for the HiCookies, Buildzoids, derbauers and nizzens out there who will bench the crap out of it, overclock it until it melts, post their insane numbers on HWBot and then move on to the next best thing. Meanwhile Intel will get its "fastest CPU"*** marketing claim. ***subject to blah, blah, and blah, YMMV, etc.

I noticed and I was tempted , but I am really happy with it at 75 hz so I am in no rush really, I would prefer a 38~42 ultra wide 1440p those are pricey so for now I stick with the normal 32'' and 2x27'' left and right ! Only issue is it might get really tight to fit things even with the vesa arms !
