If I'm right Intel has changed the TDP from 95W to 125W to these KS CPUs. Not that 125W was enough as we all know these CPU will consume at max of ~180W to ~230Watts depends on quality of silicon. I've recently had a chance to try 2 different 9900K R0 CPUs in my mobo and I can tell you that Intel has already started to bin these chips to be KS chips. None of new CPUs could do 5GHz. The worst one required 1.36V for it's bios default settings. Heating them was a massive big issue even with my Alphacool Eisbaer 360mm AIO modular cooler. (With 3x1700rpm Noctua fans)

How many types of 9900 cpu they will release?

I am also curios if they changed something or these are silicon lottery winners i 9900k rebranded as ks... I have an i9900k and in order to achieve 5 Ghz stable on all cores it needs 1.35V on a gigabyte aorus master and the temperatures in prime sits at 95 degrees (25 degrees room temperature) with an nzxt kraken x72.

Meanwhile my 9900K has been running 5.2 GHz for 10 months now at 1.375v xD Rock solid with no AVX offset. Wouldn't trade this chip for anything on the market.
What on earth you are cooling it with? Whatever I do to mine it sets itself on fire if I go over 1.32V. I guess you have got a decent custom water cooling systen in your PC. My 9900k is a delidded one with copper IHS...this was the only way to keep temps down over 1.25v. The original IHS was slightly bent...thanks to the quality of work by Intel. Anyways 1.28V@5GHz is stable with mine but I've had to re-think the cooling in my PC plus spent a lot extra money on keeping it 'cool-ish'

Best gaming cpu no doubt and even r9 3950x wont change that.

OC'ed several retail chips to this speed using 240-280mm AIO or dual tower Air Cooling, even on cheap boards.
Yea with AVX offset mate, which means games stutter, I've had two and if you want to play stutter-free you best not to oc the 9900k. Games use AVX nowdays

Whoever buy this instead of R9 3950X should KillhimSelf with the 9900KS.

Why man? It beats zen2 in gaming and if thats all you do nothing is wrong with that.

The problem is intel's platform has no future and with the security problems no way it's a smart buy. The only reason ppl are still buying intel right now is because they are uninformed and lead by stupid twitch streamers which again don't know shitall.

everyone said that comparing OC ryzen makes no sense, you loose in gaming compared to non overclocked. Anyway if you want to oveclock and you already on the mind set of spending for it, go with the 9900k. The ryzen3 can be overall faster, but if you want to see extreme numbers on single core applications you cannot go wrong with the intel chip.

I have 3900x and Taichi x570, and OC does make a difference in games. Mem OC even more ๐Ÿ™‚ I do also have 9900k ๐Ÿ˜‰

OC Ryzen 3000 just jack all, it only looks good in benching. Please stop with this BS OC Ryzen a lot of ppl are going to listen to you and damage their chips.

Dude every youtube reviewer/publication has said not to bother overclocking the chips, it yields little to no performance.
