Man, this cooler is giving birth to another fan. Personally, think it looks like a donkey's butt

What's the point of that small cooler? Idle?

Yeah, I think it looks ugly too. I guess that small fan is supposed to cool the backplate??? Small fan looks like a noise maker...

The smaller top fan provides further memory cooling, but with a 6+1 phase vs the other aib's 6+2 along with a report I read saying this card does have an extra 6 pin power connector so it's already pushing what.... 300 watts? Giving it an extra 75 watt headroom for further overclocking, but why the 6+1 rather than a 6+2? It'll hit a wall sooner than the other companies AIB 1080's right?

Kinda looks like a small tumor growing out of a larger master tumor.

Not really, adding power phases just smooths the power delivery, which makes it better for higher frequencies and extreme cooling. The memory consumes what? 20-25w max? That won't put too much strain on the mosfets

weight? 2KG? 😀

It does look like the heaviest thing we've seen in GPU land. I'm intrigued by how the X4 might perform. It is kind of strange looking but I suspect it's a look that you'd grow to love like the mother of a disturbingly ugly child.
