Beautiful monitor, an aspect ratio of 2560 x 1600 and 5ms response time. Nice! No 120Hz unfortunately but still a stunning IPS monitor...

I still love my 30 inch DELL U3011. 16:10 is great for browsing, but not so great for gaming as alot of games dont support 16:10 anymore. it will show a letterboxed view.

All computers should stick to 16:10, all tvs to 21:9, period. Now i have to watch old 4:3 movies and anime with two BIG SIDEBARS. Pity, had to buy U3011 just to keep decent picture, quality is good thou, but laptop cant keep up with resolution if gaming. In 16:9 setup there is an urge to get another 16:9 just in vertical position for web content and pdf. Simply stupid. Those two standards, mentioned above, would be enough for anyone.

Doubt you will ever see FreeSync on a 10-bit Monitor, since those are mainly Photo Editing screens.

Then I won't be using freesync or g-sync ever I guess 😀

Can you list this "alot" of games? I hope you don't count stupid ports from tablets. I use 16:10 ratio for 7 years and the gaming is absolutely fine. Yeah some games don't support 16:10, but there is usually a way to force that ratio. For me its a good indicator of laziness of the developers, if a game does not support 16:10 or inverted mouse.

@Aro9 Why? Just because we lived in caves a few thousand years ago, doesn't mean we still have to. Plus, 20:9/cinemascope doesnt match antenna/cable broadcast which is 16:9, so you would end up with a bar left and right of the picture for 80% of the time your watching something.. Why do you think more than 90% of a manufacturers tv lineup is 16:9? Might wanna update your info..

Its like you are saying, that when we all had 4:3 ratio TVs all translations were 16:9. 16:9 standard was was forced like all other, without population consent so i dont see problem with forcing 21:9 too. Why do you think 16:10 has not died yet? - because there is a demand - most professionals still use it. Not for xbox or movies, like we all spend all time on the computer just for movies - need a TV - buy it. Computer for EVERYTHING ELSE. And for your black bars argument - all new TVs come in all multimedia, internet, skype, so here you go, use it for weather reports, messages, clock... And 21:9 will be standard in future, but i do not see any logic in making it for computers - 16:9 creates problems already. Now you imagine reading document, when you can see only few lines of text or making CAD on it. From practice i can say that even with 16:10 screen i have some unused space on sides while using CAD.
