Never heard of them before... 14ms? My 4 years old, IPS panel - based 24''Acer, has 5 ms response.

There are no IPS panels with 5ms response time. Even the fastest "4ms" 165Hz IPS panels are between 8-12ms response time. Most "1ms" TN panels are in reality 4-8ms. The "response time" number you see on the marketing sheets for the monitors have not much to do with reality. They're just marketing. There are some monitor vendors out there who don't give fake stats.

Actually the acer XB270hu which is a 4ms IPS panel has an average 4/5ms G2G response time depending on overdrive setting. That's pretty accurate/close to their claim of 4ms response time.

Oops, yes. I got my terms mixed up. "G2G" is not black/white 😛 (The XB270hu has almost 14ms black/white response time.) Yeah, 14ms g2g is high.
