In the long run you'll end up with a camera which has phone capabilities...

The phone does not have a 240mm lens. And before you click reply to my comment, think for a bit what 240mm stands for. The text should say something around the lines of: "the phone has a camera with an equivalent focal length representing 240mm"

I think it is assumed that this implies "equivalent focal length". But... this is a trend I could get on board with. Not this stupid 30MP+ nonsense.

The trend of "How many camera's can we physically fit on a phone" XD I just can't help but finding these things seriously ugly - I am all for trying to cram as much tech into a single small camera instead of going the "multi camera" way. I'd rather have an Android/Iphone with 1 (good) camera that looks sleek and nice then having 1/4 (or more) of my phone being occupied by multiple cameras .. Just an opinion of course, but I hope camera tech will advance and we can get back to 1 good camera and some awesomesauce software to add all effects instead of more cameras 😀

I have the P30 and tbh I only ever use the main sensor with the exception of the odd occasion I need the wide angle to fit everything in-shot in a small room or something Zoom is just a gimmick really, quality isn't there for any serious photography using that sensor Night mode is cool and works, but messes up colours Got better auto mode shots from my S9 though, really need to keep this thing absolutely rock steady to get a sharp image, like tripod and no wind steady or your photos just come out mehh and a bit blurred Macro.... yea and no, to get an impressive shot you need to be super close, but then you block out your light source so.... not managed to get any impressive macro shots of insects like I could with S5/7/9 either Slow-mo is interpolated, so 960fps is horrible to look at, everything like insect wings is just ghosted as each frame is doubled rather than true 960

You've missed 1 important thing: focal length info doesn't mean much without knowing the actual surface of the photo cell (aka "frame size"), e.g. "the phone has a camera with an equivalent focal length (of it's lens) representing 240mm lens of a Leica frame (35 mm or 24x36 mm) camera".:) In this case (18 mm to 240 mm in 35mm equivalent, with max aperture values of f/1.8 to f/4.0) what we're seeing here is a mighty "all-rounder" (from ultra wide lens to a moderate tele, and it is very "bright", too).

This phone will be equipped with graphene battery. The ideal use of graphene as a battery is as a “supercapacitor.” Supercapacitors store current just like a traditional battery but can charge and discharge incredibly quickly.

Why do people even buy Huawei? Their stuff is absolute garbage?

Will the US ban still be in place for this like the Mate 30? No Google apps?

@Irenicus I own P8 Lite 2017 and the only complain I could make is the small battery and lack of updates for 1 year, everything else works flawlessly and for 140€ I'm really happy.

Probably, but they (USA) will have to swallow what they had puked, rather sooner than later. On another notice (though the connection there is, so it's not an off-topic): does anybody here believes the recent outbreak of that virus in China is a coincidence? Yeah, right you are, biological war is banned by Geneva Treaty (signed by USA too), and the US gov. is notorious for constantly acting in an honest, civil, polite and humane way... 🙄

I wonder if compact sized phones are going to make a comeback because i don´t want a brick sized phone!... Good thing my P10 is still going strong so i don´t need to worry about it for another 2/3 years.

Viruses mutate... fast. You should check numbers for MERS/SARS cousins. And their death toll vs infected people. US could make 1000 times more damage by paying someone to do something for fraction of cost of developing virus that will kill 500 people in year. Then there is rational thinking which brings you to double edged sword which would such virus be. Considering incubation period, intentional spread would result in hundreds of people who would be marked as "patient zero" as they would end up infected at same time and place. It would be place where people travel a lot at long distances across China. Not a local market. And you would have tens/hundreds of thousands infected by now. On other hand, currently low lethality and lack of symptoms in some infected people (carriers) would make it very good weapon. Yet, it does not show signs of weaponization. Therefore your theory is very, very likely wrong.

So let's get back on topic, and not bring politics or viruses into this topic. On topic now, shame that Huawei has such a negative stigma in the US. Their devices look amazing.
