More then likely the fan is there in case of humid temperatures think of it as a fail safe to prevent damage like in countries like Africa where it runs 35C+, or if the vent becomes blocked or obstructed. Why else to they go from silent - to quiet in the add?

Man I would believe a fanless design if it had like a 286 or 386 cpu in it. So it has to be a marketing mistake. Or it is them specialty fans that run on load and are quiet on idle.

Poor replacement for XBOX One, Isn't it?
Hilarious!
BLEH!
I can honestly say I'm not a fan :P

I agree that the fan is probably there only for emergency use when passive cooling is not enough. It most likely does not run all the time. So, under light usage, in low enough ambient temperatures, it is, in essence, fanless. 🙂

it's an old Jedi trick...
"hey there is a fan in it..."
"there is no fan in it, you will buy it as it is dustproof"
"there is no fan in this box, i will buy it as it is dustproof"...
lol 🙂

Actually, I have come across systems that were "fanless" but the CPU cooling did incorporate some sort of an active cooling solution - so I don't know if I'd call this totally misleading. The case doesn't have a fan to channel air through it, maybe that's how they meant it.
