It seems like turning the msaa off gained for me a lot of fps (60+) and everything else on ultra. Now is playable, i'll try with msaa turned on 2x or 4x.

http://i.imgur.com/kmy3U.jpg The first tutorial level then into the main game, settings maxed but no blur, dof, GI, nor AA used, this is what it took to hold 60fps. I got the game running really nice, i'll maybe look into tweaking the bloom laters.

How do you disable blur, i really hate it in every game?

My bad, the game doesn't use motion blur, however global illumination + Depth of field are classed as blur effects, if you're like me and suffer eye strain with certain in-game effects then i'd advise disabling these two options, i go all the way and disable all AA effects too.

In love....

Running in Ultra with 2X MSAA 1920x1200 GTX 680 Average 49 fps, GTX 680 SLI Average 76 fps.

GTX 480 or 680? Your profile says 480, that's why I ask.

2way SLI: 49 average fps med Ultra preset. 3-way SLI: 66 average fps med Ultra preset Max settings 3930k @ 4600 3-way GTX 680 Edit profile is boring 😀

really is an AMD title
*SNICKER* Works just fine at max settings on my system with an Intel 3930K and two EVGA nVidia GTX 670 Superclocked+ 4GB, in fact I don't even get much in the way of increased fan noise from my coolers so it's obviously not giving the CPU or GPUs much exercise. P.S.: Other than the manufacturer overclock on the graphics boards nothing on my system is overclocked at all, in fact I have disabled Turbo in the BIOS due to an issue with the memory.

I don't know what you're doing but I get a solid 60fps+ with everything maxxed out completely: 3930K @ stock clock 2-way SLI GTX 670 SC+ 4GB Unless you're driving more than 1920x1200 you shouldn't be getting 2-way scores that low. Perhaps you need to take out the third board and make sure your PCIe is set up properly with 16 lanes per card?

So i tried to replicate the test that Hilbert did in his review of Hitman Absolution and my FPS came out to be..... extremely low. I use the exact same IQ settings as the review (running 1920x1080) and my average FPS is only 33. Whats up with that? Anybody have any idea? He was able to get an average of 51 FPS with the Boost edition and the Gigabyte one that I have is practically a boost edition 900MHz instead of 925MHz. I am running a Phenom II x4 955 @ 3.2GHz and 12GB of 1333 ram. Side note * in the AMD Vision Engine Control Center under the "Graphics Overdrive" where it shows all the numbers for the vid card, the "Power" section shows 0% and always 0%, should I be concerned?

Well at any point did you see GPU usage drop? And was it always at 99%? Cause it could be a CPU bottleneck.

Found your issue. Don't expect to get what Hilbert got with that CPU. Especially with it being at stock.

CPU Bottleneck? I don't want to believe!!!! But alas, I must concede :-( I ran the test again a few times, and all of those times, my cpu % was 70-90% while the 7950 never went past 75%, it stayed between 60-75% the whole time the benchmark was running. So i guess this is confirmation that it's a cpu bottleneck? If so, is there any remedy other then replacing my cpu because i just don't have the money for that right now :-/ I have also have no experience with cpu overclocking either.

Video starts to get bottlenecked if one or more CPU cores is around 90%+ occupied. Looking at overall CPU use isnt useful unless its at 0% or 100%. ie 10% CPU use could be 40% on one core and 0% on the others. Overall CPU use tells you very little.

You can do two things really, 1 - overclock 2 - Accept it. If the game runs good enough for you, (and 31 FPS is average I know) why create an issue that you can't solve ? But yeah it's the CPU holding you back.

Very nice review, but with your conclusion for a single card 1. 7970 - 2. 680 I don't agree there, only in that big res, the gtx680 owns the hd7950 by only a bit. So I'd say the second place is for the hd7950 with boost, also the price difference is fairly big. Most people play on 1080p or 1200p.

AMD flavored title as it is part of the gaming evolved program. http://img809.imageshack.us/img809/3561/amdr.jpg

Much like FC3 this game doesnt warrant this performance hit it deals but downsampling is the way to go for iq imo, AA just hits to hard.
