This game 😀 I feel like playing it just for the controversy. But it gives a proper Postal 1 vibe that game was all sorts of ****ed up with mental illness playing a big role.

The Suffering were great games if you want some psychosis.
And it was pretty crazy with all stuff going on in story.

the recommended specs are more funny than the gtx 770 = R9 290 BF Hardline ones, because a gtx 680 is never ever the same performance as a R9 290X

I wonder how Australia will treat this.... even now with an R-18+ certification for video games they still manage to ban things.

They tend to this lately but ingame 290 provide 40-50% better performance than 680/770.

Wow I forgot all about that game. I remember playing it on the Xbox. Didn't know it was on PC too. May have to buy it again.
As for Hatred, I don't understand the controversy. I've seen games way worse than this. I'll be buying it if its on Steam.

well wouldn't that depend on how well the game is optimized for Nvidia and AMD hardware?
there are ton's of examples of titles playing really well on Nvidia but being unplayable on the AMD equivalent - and likely the same can be said vice versa

Was gonna say the same thing it almost looks as if nvidia is paying publishers to do this to make their cards look worse i doubt this is the case but it makes me wonder:3eyes:

If that was the case they would do that to the minimum req. too.
Performance wise HD 5850 and GTX 460 are pretty close.
However 680/770 are nowhere near 290X performance and with Nvidia abandoning Kepler performance optimizations that will make it even a more uneven comparison.
In most new games 290X beats the 780 Ti and performs pretty close to the 980, so forget about GK104 based cards.

This could be very interesting to see if Valve and Steam sells this game considering it is AO rated game. We all know that this game is never getting a console release because of the rating because of the console developers' policy of not selling AO rated games.

Steam just released a remastered Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy which is based on the original AO rated version

The game has an awful concept I won't lie.
BUT what makes this game different is the main objective is just to kill people for no reason. Other games like the GTA series, it's not the main objective but you can kill people for no reason. Personally I don't see any difference in that at all.

please don't give this game coverage, just because of the hype it created itself. The game might be 'original' it doesn't look all that fun.

It isn't about being fun. It is about a random game with a lot of media attention getting on the frontpage ... just because of the hype ..
The Guru3D forum is full of better games that never get to the frontpage.
I feel Guru3D is playing into the hype with this kind of coverage.

I gotta go with nhlkoho on this, I see no reason to boycott the game because of its "hype."
That that logic, any game that has any hype we should boycott and not give media coverage.

All Guru3d is doing is reporting the news nothing more nothing less. The reason why this game is getting all of this hype is because of the ESRB rating and vendors who are willing to sell it. Because there are some vendors with very strict rules about AO rated games. Look at the Console manufacturers they do not even allow AO games to be made for their systems. Plus I agree with vbetts I do not see any reason to boycott this game because of its hype either.
