I want to disable my adblocker Hilbert, but it makes the forum incredible slow to browse. It makes my browser freeze for a few secs when I open new pages. If you could somehow improve performance I'll happily turn it off.

To Hilbert ( or anyone who might know ). I've whitelisted this site from ad block ages and ages ago, but I still have the addon " NoScript " activated to block "Facebook". Does that.. make a negative impact or big difference?

On a side note i've had adblock disabled and ghostery ever since Hilberts request , i use Chrome as my browser and i've never noticed any slow downs when using the forums/or reading reviews, i don't mind seeing the ads as its my way of supporting this great website and doing my bit to make sure that Guru3d is here to stay .

If you want to be somewhat helpful without being too inconvenienced, look into tools that blocks the Flash plugin, and maybe HTML5 objects (the latter I've found sometimes causes more problems than it helps). For me personally, Flash is what bogs down everything the most. You may not want to remove Flash entirely, since there are still a handful of websites out there where Flash is useful.
I'm not even entirely sure if Flash blockers affects ad revenue or not. The ad itself still "exists" on the page, it just isn't loaded or running. But, I'm not entirely sure how all that works. I'm guessing it blocks revenue, but at least a Flash blocker is less destructive than AdBlocker.
