Isn't 3800 the best choice for Ryzen 2nd and 3rd gen? With the Infinity Fabric clocked at 1900mhz, that gives you 1:1:1. Or is there something about 3600mem?

Many reports in that subject. There are few options but best all rounder performance/price is. 3600 CL 16. Timings do more than raw bandwidth.

Unless things change between now and early 2021 i will settle with: G.Skill Trident Z Neo F4-3600C16D-32GTZN

I hope by the time i upgrade somewhere in Q1 2021 ram prices have dropped. By then perhaps 3800 MHz is the sweetspot for Ryzen 5000, and more is known what's best.

Same here ! Ha F4-3600C16D-32GTZN , That is exactly the sweet spot , dual rank 2x16GB , best performing kit for 5000 series ryzen I believe .
