So now even Google's own devices need to wait long time to get latest updates. Android fragmentation is getting out of hand.

Yeah, this. Now if it had a Smart Stay implementation in CM13 I'd be perfectly happy with it. What also irritates me is that they forgot to add the quick PIN feature on the lock screen. I have to press enter every time after inputting my PIN ugh. Either way, I've been sitting on CM for the past 2 years on my S5. I don't regret voiding my warranty one bit, touchwiz may have nice features but it's terribly bloated. Cyanogenmod + the S series having really good build quality and hardware is a killer combo. Speaking of which, since Samsung is doing all they can to lock, encrypt and generally have sex with the bootloaders in their phones, I probably won't go for Samsung again. Android stands for an open environment, Samsung is not respecting that. If I wanted a walled garden I'd have thrown my money at Apple.

Glad to see the Nexus 6 getting it, though I'm sure XDA will port it to the older devices like the Nexus 5.

not on every phone, it has been certified by some as "alternative OS" by the maker of the phone, and can be as primary OS on some too. time change 🙂 But also cyanogen have removed lot of app that google doesn't like... so it's a bit like mod an Android rom to do the same thing with closed source stuff in it.

I wonder if the Nvidia shield Tablets will get it as well as the SATV.
