So much for a PC slump... =) Great news for them! As for me - I find their motherboards the best! I switched to them 6 years ago and never looked back - both for MB and Video cards (I am not arguing others are also great, just telling I like their brand the most). I still have GA-G41M-ES2L MB (though modded by me to all solid state caps...) happily running on 24x7 basis! And of course my GA-EX58-UD5 still kicks some serios stuff (at least for my needs 😉

GA-M59SLI-S5 here, 24/7 with 4 caps changed this year, thou im looking for less power hungry model, since it is just used for web and office. Good stuff.

Gigabyte no longer offer the best bang for the buck now that they're a bit more famous. That seems to have been Asrock as of late, and by as of late I mean the past 2 years.

Good to hear. I'm a long time user of their motherboards, and have always had great experiences.

Not surprised to see them doing well, and I'm happy for it. I've never bought a lemon from Gigabyte; not once. Between myself, friends and family, I've built a little over 20 PCs with Gigabyte mobos and GPUs. A friend of mine had a very specific issue with a Gigabyte board, contacted the engineering team in New Taipei, and they released a custom BIOS for him (which actually worked). Truly a great team they have going on there. For the first time in years I opted to go with ASRock, but it was purely an objective reason, nothing to do with Gigabyte.

Should probably have gone for a Sabertooth or R4E, this board has HORRID Vdroop.

Agreed. I've used a few Gigabyte mobos over the years and never had a single issue, but most of the people I build PCs for are on a tight budget and I seem to wind up with whatever the cheapest "brand name" sale at the time is for them, and it's never Gigabyte...

I have GA-Z87X-OC motherboard and Intel I5-4670 (not 4670K) CPU. No problems so far and a very fast system.

I had one model for 3 years in which it runned 24/7 with OC, after that it started to make vrm whine and that is it still in perfect condition 🙂 What i want to mention since i got MSI, the Gigabyte support is rock solid always ready for question, about MSI even their web page doesn't work properly, support lack response, cant register my product because of web issues... i will switch back some day

Rock solid product support from Gigabyte? That was true up to a few years ago but in the last 2-3 years things went downhill at Gigabyte. The BIOS support is atrocious. Forums are full of customers complaining about BIOS issues. The motherboards are far from stable. Each new BIOS release seems a mess on all their motherboards, including the most expensive ones. And they delay Intel CPU Microcode updates, Management Engine firmware updates and other option ROM updates for months or not release the updates at all. In the past they had the best support and most stable, features rich and always updated BIOS for products in the industry... nowadays not at all.
