It's more like "you can enable hdr" indicator and content in sdr mode for psychological reasons.

Huh? VA panel is the best after oled. You must follow technology better. IPS and TN are nope.

I saw ips and va panel monitors next to each other and in motion its night and day between them. Shadows draw long lines on dark grey on va panels, on ips that's greatly reduced. So for dark games like Cyberpunk2077 ips is clearly the top choice, besides oled of course. I have a va panel right now and just wait for a great ips or oled to show up.

I am happy with Odyssey SVA monitors from Samsung. It destroys and eats any IPS monitor for breakfast including TN response times.
