Thank you Hilbert for the heads up. I own a G24F 2 , and it would be also nice to know whether or not these are affected, like the 27inches variant

I do own one too just like you, i doubt G24F 2 has similar issues, but its better to get clarification regarding this as my unit has been good so far but with a minor issue of 180hz OC mode setting not sticking on and will reset every reboot using display port cable, and HDMI mode 180hz option show up even if the overclock setting is not enabled on the display settings. EDIT: Mine says its not affected when checking through website using serial number

I'm using a certified DP cable (with the pin 20 not connected) to connect the monitor with my gpu. No issues whatsoever with the 180hz OC mode, it stays after every reboot. Check if your DP cable has its pin 20 connected and if so, i strongly suggest you get one without this pin connected. This may be the source of the issue you're having. First ,1)Gigabyte M27Q with its BGR sub pixel layout problem. 2)then G24F with its buzzing coilwhine problem. 3)now this..!! the Gigabyte monitors are truly having poor TESTING and bad quality checks!.

i had mine checked using multi-meter even before i used an cable as i had heard about the 20 pin issue before and i think almost all new certified cables comply to this standard. my overclock mode just keeps disabling and i don't know why, nothing major but its annoying, also my unit G24F 2 was manufactured on October 2022 so don't know if the newer unit had it fixed or not. but glad to know yours is working fine, also maybe because i have connected USB B port cable to use OSD sidekick maybe you have not. Edit: Seems to have fixed my issue and the solution i think was very bizarre one, all i had to do was got to monitor settings as normally i would enable overclock mode and then open OSD sidekick app on windows and close it, so far even after multiple restarts its fine and 180hz shows up. Hopefully this solution helps out anyone with G24F 2 if they are having trouble with refresh rate settings. Maybe a future firmware update might fix it too.

My unit was manufactured on April 2022 and like you, i plugged in the USB B port cable and never had any issue with the OC settings. Glad you were able to sort out the issue. Since we're talking about the G24F 2, my only complaint is that i noticed 2 dead pixels already, after a week of usage. Nothing major , i really have to get close to notice them, but still, i wish i didn't have any already. Aside from that, out of the box calibration is one of the best i ever had, they did a great job in the factory and i am mostly satisfied with the monitor. IPS glow is very minimal so am really thinking about living with the 2 dead pixels and not risk replacing the monitor, only to have a worse replacement..

Maybe like their PSU's the damn thing will explode in your face.... Gigabyte seems to like making their products go with a bang.
