That was fast. Now imagine creating a new product specifically for miners (with no value to gamers trying to get a second hand card) and your mainstream gamming segment got hacked to also provide value to miners

1. To create videocards without hardware needed for mining but with some new hardware needed for gaming (instead of old one which can be used both for mining and gaming). 2. To create time machine, to go back in time and prevent people from creating digital/crypto currencies.

I've found the more a company tries to prevent you from doing something through software and makes bold claims about how "uncrackable" it is, the sooner people manage to figure out how to work around it. The opposite. Demand has never been higher for PC parts! You just have to keep trying. I recently upgraded my old GTX970 to an RTX3070 and I paid standard prices. It's hard, but not impossible.

The solution 1 is impossible, if it can calculate then it can mine... and you need to calculate to render. Solution 2 is the better one (sadly for us).

But what if GPU starts to execute DirectX, OpenGL, Vulkan high level instructions directly, not some low level "number arithmetic"?
