@ Spets and Pyrage, thanks for the feedback! I really want to try Windows 10, but I'm kind of nervous to say the least. If I do decide, will I have to do a clean install or I can I just update it from my Windows 8.1 installation?
You can upgrade, it'll let you know if there's any programs that will conflict with it. Back up anything important though just incase.

Another one ? Well THANKS NVIDIA, FOR RELEASING DRIVERS FOR A OS THAT ISN'T EVEN LAUNCHED !!!!! AND FOR IGNORING WINDOWS 8.1 USERS !

Nope it's still broken and old SoM bug(?) that has been reported when first windows 10 driver appeared is still there.. What's interesting is that it has Witcher 3 profile in it and that's about it.
I also confirm the bug is still in these drivers. It's annoying, but it's not a deal breaker. I'll keep using Win10 as my daily OS.

Windows 8.1 driver will come with the Witcher 3 release next week most probably. Just tell me when in the past months have NV released Windows 7/8.1 drivers with no new game (or GPU) released at the same time ? New game = new drivers with optimizations for that game - and whtever else features/bugfixes have been developed in the meantime.

OK I just installed Windows 10 preview because I couldn't help myself. So far, I have zero regrets. I just tested several games, and all of them play better than they did on Windows 8.1.. I suspect it has something to do with the much lighter and more efficient driver framework of DX12 compared to DX11, so that even games that are DX11 can benefit somewhat from the reduced driver overhead. The only problem I've encountered so far, is that Dragon Age Inquisition refuses to recognize my Xbox One controller, which is extremely annoying. What's strange is that it recognizes my Xbox 360 controller though, which is really weird. :3eyes:

Can you post a pic confirming you have DX12 on your W10 preview? Thanks. If you do have it, I may upgrade to W10 then.

Just Tested Valley benchmark on my 660ti sli, with no significant differences 352.84: AVG=86.3 SCORE=3612 350.12: AVG=85.9 SCORE=3596 I used 350.12 cause other Win10 drivers have given me a lot of crashes...testing this release now!

You have DX12 if: Use Win10+352.xx branch drivers+Kepler or Maxwell card! Unfortunatly the only app that uses DX12 until now it's 3dMark. So you can wait 😛

Another question I'm sure will go unanswered by Nvidia. Will these have the optimizations for Witcher 3 or will that be ignored for Windows 10 users? A changelog for a driver release on Friday afternoon too much to ask for?

Nah, the 750Ti is for PhysX and a little extra kick for Iray rendering.

Of course they work with new drivers for W10 because its just a few months from release. I'm happy they do so. AMD drivers are like **** on W10. 8.1 drivers will come next Tuesday with Witcher 3, you can count on that.

So well need a new version of MSI Afterburner.....
With current pace of development it won't be anytime soon.

Modded .inf for 500series x64. http://www.mediafire.com/download/6nng57eanm05ibo/nv_dispi.inf Got some friends with 500series cards so I've already got the id's etc pre-saved... Supported GPUs by modded inf:
NVIDIA_DEV.1088 = "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 590" NVIDIA_DEV.1089 = "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 580" NVIDIA_DEV.108B = "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 580" NVIDIA_DEV.1086 = "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 570 " NVIDIA_DEV.1081 = "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 570" NVIDIA_DEV.1082 = "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 Ti" NVIDIA_DEV.1087 = "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 Ti" NVIDIA_DEV.1202 = "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 Ti " NVIDIA_DEV.1200 = "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 Ti " NVIDIA_DEV.1208 = "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 SE" NVIDIA_DEV.1084 = "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560" NVIDIA_DEV.1201 = "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 " NVIDIA_DEV.1206 = "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 555" NVIDIA_DEV.1244 = "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 550 Ti" NVIDIA_DEV.1241 = "NVIDIA GeForce GT 545" NVIDIA_DEV.0DE5 = "NVIDIA GeForce GT 530" NVIDIA_DEV.0DE4 = "NVIDIA GeForce GT 520" NVIDIA_DEV.1040 = "NVIDIA GeForce GT 520" NVIDIA_DEV.1042 = "NVIDIA GeForce 510"
Disable driver signature, also untested. Latest win10 I tried with a modded inf was 349.90 which worked quite well...(GTX 560).
Great stuff, keep it up!

Well that's a shame. Anyone knows a similar program to MSI Afterburner, that can read vram with this new driver model?

these drivers seem good so far for my windows 10 install.
