With PhysX turned off 680 SLI is enough to max everything else out and stay at a fairly consistent 60fps in almost all situations. But with PhysX the game will have unexpected FPS dips, hitching and situations where the game will hit ~0fps when loading in new PhysX particles/calculations. Not unplayable, but it's a complete joke when you see your dedicated PhysX GPU have 0% activity, pan the camera around and suddenly see it jump to 30% usage with a noticeable hitch as it kicks in. Many don't perceive the problem but it is there for everyone due to a piss poor implementation of PhysX.
That is PhysX in a nutshell in my experience. I think it is an incredibly unoptimized piece of coding even after all this time and the erratic framerates (dips) that it causes even with SLI is one of the reasons I tend to turn it off in any supported games these days. It is seldom used in most games anyway and, apart from adding pretty but superfluous effects, it does nothing to improve the overal gameplay experience IMO. Best left disabled in my view for a more consistent framerate. Some of the effects it does could easily be offloaded to the CPU - I'm pretty sure floating pieces of paper don't require GPU calculations for example in the Batman: Arkham games - but if you choose hardware PhysX then all the calculations are offloaded to the GPU, I believe. I personally think PhysX has been hugely underwhelming.

On the download link change us to de , so it looks like this de.download.nvidia.com/Windows/334.67/334.67-desktop-win8-win7-winvista-64bit-international-beta.exe on the page where it says File not found.
That worked fine. Downloading 🙂

I'm downloading the International 64-bit version from the .de (German) link. It's 263 MB in size (is it me of are these drivers getting bigger with every release?).

TBH I have no idea if I have/had PhysX enabled or not. Will check it out but I've heard your story before. A lot of people are complaining that ingame PhysX is broken which, after all, was one of the big highlights by nVidia -.- GG I'm glad that TXAA looks nice though, so nVidia did something right at least 🙂

Probably a good idea. It's a new branch, r334, so there's bound to be some new bugs introduced into these drivers.

I always download and install the International driver but it seems to have gone from 200 MB to over 250 MB recently.

Specs aren't current. Have 680 SLI and 780 w/ 680 as PhysX machines. Game is pitifully broken. Sure I can cap the framerate to 30 and the game plays without wild fluctuations and hitching, but 30 looks like ****, so that isn't an option. I envy those like you that can stand framerate fluctuation but any drop from 60 is atrocious to me.
Use Tripple buffering, and youre good. Man the game runs great even om my laptop (GTX780M), so its strange my laptop can run it at 60fps? 😉 For desktop: http://www.nvidia.de/download/driverResults.aspx/72617/de Notebook not up yet.

Constant 60 with PhysX set to high ?
