Looks great, love the look of it. If the price is right I might just get one.

The main problem with these monitors is the vertical resolution. The width is really less important than the height for everyday use. Text flows vertically and, thus, if you were used to, say, 1600*1200 then 1920*1080 is a step back. So at the time I upgraded to a 1920*1200 monitor, because that way I could keep my vertical resolution. I don't have a problem with the aspect ratio of this LG 21:9 monitor, but for me it would be a step back, because of the 1080 pixels in the vertical range. Now that I am used to a 2560*1440 monitor it looks like they cut off the lower part of the screen. :P

I have this monitor for entertainment cause i want more widescreen effect with gaming and movies and i dont want go back to 16:9 vertical resolution is no problem for normal use. Edit I meen i have the EA93 http://i43.tinypic.com/2jady88.jpg

Actually this is 64:27 for square pixels. And i wonder what's the input lag, if it's less than 15ms, it's for me, if not then not. I would love to have 3360x1440 29" <- this is 21:9.

I have no problems with the reaction time and input lag with the ea93. And it is true 21:9 cause movies let show the 2.35.1 (21:9)

I use the Dell UltraSharp U2913WM for gaming etc. Really like the extra width, but I would have prefered it to be a bit larger than 29", since the height of the display is considerable smaller then what it is on my 27" 16:9 LG. Only issue I found is when watching Netflix, they don't support 21:9. @NAMEk Input lag is fine for general gaming, Iv'e even seen som of the professional StarCraft II players prefering IPS panels. I mainly use mine for mmo's and racing games, but I do play a few fps titles too, like FarCry 3, ShootMania etc., and really don't feel like their is any input-lag going on, but I had to use some time to setup the monitor, like using the correct profiles, using v-sync on my games etc. You can notice that a 120Hz is faster, but if you don't play fps on pro level and prefer extra width, better colors and black levels, then you will enjoy these newer IPS panels a lot more than a 120Hz. Oh, and I can recommend any one with a newer mobo that has a LucidLogic onboard chip to invest in the MVP software, it really gives a nice steady picture in games with their v-syn option on IPS panels.

21x9 is actually 2.33:1 aspect ratio (divide 21 by 9) 16x9 is 1.78:1 There are no hard and fast rules for what a cinematographer/director will decide to do with aspect ratios. Movie can be between 1.3 (Old/rare) and even the ultra rare and wide 4.0 - but the happy medium is 2.75. Django unchained had 2.35:1 'A Good Day to Die Hard' had 1.85:1 (practically 16x9)

I have 37" Samsung dv6500, for movies it's not bad, i expected better, but for gaming - impossible to play. I think whole lag between controller and TV is > 120ms .

So whats the difference between this and there "other" model? LG29EB93-P I want to get one of these sometime this coming winter.. But it will be between asus and LG..

They do it so you can use it with just 1 high end video card.. 1200 and higher your pretty much having to have 2 video cards so you can play at those said resolutions. Im 90% sure you will see 1200 and prolly 1440 by early 2015.

Ghar. I'm honestly tired of these wider screens. I really miss 16:10 and having the vertical reading space. It just suits a desktop environment better. 16:9 isn't terrible and that's what my second display is but it looks goofy next to a 16:10. I honestly don't think I'd purchase something wider than 16:9 for a desktop monitor. I guess if it's your TV sure but I need desktop space.
