I picked it up on Xbox....And I must say, even on Xbox the game looks fantastic. It does not play much different than older Gears Of War games, except that it has updated visuals, and I must say they continue the awesome story with an even more awesome story. I'm not going to spoil anything, but the beginning of the game had me almost crying because of who is in it in the beginning lol.

Did you get the digital or disc version? If you bought it digitally you get the PC version for free as well. Game isn't bad so far. Just started Act3

Call me nuts but if seen some video,s where the xbox one version looks more crisp and sharper, thats probably because it does not use TAA ?

Just tried to play with PC with my friend on Xbox. All ok except no chat voices, cant recognize mic. Sure it should work between PC and Xbox. Better to try with motherboard instead Soundblaster, or with Xbox controller + headset, and shut down VNP...

You are probably right. I really wish they would give some choices in AA method. I much prefer SMAA. I just bought a new TV that was bundled with an XB1S. I'm playing on med-high on my PC @ 1080p so it will be interesting to compare to the XB1 scaled to 4K. I won't play multiplayer on the XB1 though, I am loving the mouse and keyboard.

It loads and runs just hunky dory, no issues at all - but the game will just put me in a situation where I can't progress forwards and all of the AI characters do nothing but stand there. It's like a bunch of friends dressed up for Comic-Con and they are just waiting for someone to say 'lets go'. So, I am at level 1-1 with the robots talking, and am waiting for (I think) a cut-scene to 'trigger'? Really bad experience so far...I'll keep looking for a resolution, but I might just forget it and move on to something else.

Odd, I am already past that part on the PC. That is really early in the game, I would start new and see if it fixes it.

So goood and even more bad The few hours i have managed to play since the early Ultimate edition access has been sweet. The downside is im now downloading the game completely for the 3rd time (PC) since the windows store is the biggest pile of donkeydung ever created. The latest 400mb patch requires 80GB free hdd space in addition to tons of other problems me and all my buddies have had in both coop horde and VS mode. You basically have to redo all your software,OS,Regedit,Wstore settings every 2 days to even get to play. Funny enough with ALL this trouble the game has still rocked hard. As in my hardware sig i dont have a uber PC cept for a nice 980TI card but the game runs SO beautifully on it with my AOC Gsync monitor... What i have been able to play of the campaign has been smooth sailing on ultra settings at 100+ fps wich i think is pretty sweet. Just need buddy coop...windows store and the game itself to actually work. So far 5/10 stars...if they fix all the issues its a clear 9/10 from me 🙂
