It Will be one of those comments, but - "Told you so!". When there is too much hype - it's never a good sign. Cheers to all the alpha testers, the official game release will be around 2022.

I've stopped playing the game, waiting for major fixes/patches before I'd consider taking up the game again. Also, I'd like the game to be patch so AMD cards can do RT as well......

Guess i'll check back when "multiple updates and improvements" are done. I don't feel like playing it in the current state.

They should have just delayed the game again since they were having issues working from home.

This game failed on so many levels. Such a disappointment. It's not just the bugs, the PS2 had better water effects!

Working from home had absolutely nothing to do with the problems... Somebody is just trying to make excuses.

The patch schedule means nothing to me, without knowing what at a high level is included as fixes in those patches.

We worked from home, and nobody has a PS4 or xbox there, so we were like... damn... but then we saw those guys already pre ordered like 8 000 000 copies based on our marketing crap. So we were like... okey. You must understand that we release our games when ready. And our pockets were ready. Sorry guys. You know... covid. But we will release 2 patches. Heres a yellow roadmap, with two patches and dlc for 2021. Laters πŸ™‚ PS: The next gen will come!!! In a year or so! Get ready!! Thanks for your cash.

So nostalgic, felt the same as when NMS got released, it can took up to 1 year to finish this game, maybe more who knows

This apology is empty.. board hoped, that is will be fixed, in few days, after 9 years of development => board has to be stupid. Its not one bug, or few bugs, product is half broken, unfinished. Blame rp/marketing and financial guys which making release shift almost impossible.. same as all guy which are believe in waterfall model and release dates set in stone.. Do you remember that claims, that right after last release date shift, there would be not other release date shift, how they could know, they believed in most happy scenario and it is usually not happening. I sort of understand when company has not more money for game development and really need to release unfinished game at any cost- as Kingdom come, but CD Project has not financial problems, so 100% failure of project leadership.. Im quite sure that they are not blind to check pictures of video, that they are able to hold controller and start present game build on old console and read bug reports.. after doing any of these, they had to know..

I'm still enjoying the hell outta the game still taking my time with it and getting my moneys worth. It's perhaps my fav game of all time tbh.

I think a Ferengi Rule of Acquisition might have come into play here. πŸ˜‰ https://memory-beta.fandom.com/wiki/Ferengi_Rules_of_Acquisition
1 Once you have their money... you never give it back. "The Nagus" (DS9 episode)
5 Always exaggerate your estimates. Cold Fusion (SCE novel)
432 Wait until you can get the Game of the Year Edition, fully patched, with good drivers, and on sale for a quarter of the original price.
That one seems apocryphal, lol. Or the lessons taught to John Cusack by his mentor, in The Grifters.
Give me twenty dollars.
[youtube=6lOPeGgf9C4] And people handed over their money in pre-orders. πŸ™‚ Granted, this company was the exception to the rule, but they just burned through a chunk of that good will. πŸ™

Never understood the hype for it. Had it been the witcher 4 then fair enough. But they are not proven in this area. Bugs are one thing, but disappearing objects, [eople popping in and out, shoddy framerate. Poor physics. GTA3,GTA4,GTA5 have better physics systems by far. Police appear from nowhere, half the time don't react. [youtube=al2O7XGURqM]

A big thing about Witcher is they have the characters from all the books and other media helping out immensely, I don't know how the original game would have been with a original character without that as for writing and story purposes having all of this helps out immensely. Though they had a number of original characters even in the first game while omitting some of the bigger established ones too. Plenty to go on from the tabletop of Cyberpunk too and I believe the original writer was also far more involved in this too unlike Sapkowski was at least initially. EDIT: There was also the earlier almost-Diablo like Witcher 1 game and the other designed one as a early 3D action game. Was a while since i played the resulting Witcher 1 from CD Project, getting into the combat system again is a bit of a task at first. πŸ˜€ (Level up group style and suffer a bit initially and then whoop all think that's how it went.) EDIT: This though I suppose it just needed at least another year of active development and now we're seeing them trying to cover that with patches instead and then putting the next-gen console edition and upgrades for that at the near end of 2021 focusing on whatever can be patched and fixed up alongside whatever the content map looks like for free and paid stuff later on.
