What's wrong with red? As long as batteries don't explode, it should be fine 🤓

There are few color filter modes. I disliked most of them. But people simply expect phone to be perfect from 1st start and do not know that there is some settings hidden under settings, display, screen mode.

My 8+ doesn't have this unless i enable the blue light filter, which is in the quick menu... bet thats what they have done.

This 1000%, and i'll admit that i'm guilty of similar mistakes in the past but usually i can resolve it in a few days before trying a social media fix. my s8 comes today! pretty excited.

It's not about modes. Tint isn't noticeable at direct view. It's noticeable at angles. It's about defective panels. Samsung has huge percentage of defective panels with poor viewing angles. It's not always pinkish. It could be greenish. What's more shameful is that Shamesung reject to replace them saying it's ok when premium has has poor viewing angles and hiding behind laws, saying - since you able to read to text, then display does its primary job. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oP2bZInmoGM here is both defective, one having excessive green, another pink. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hIpPit_zYgc

After all of the nonsense I've read and premium price tag on Samsung phones I can't see that I will ever buy another product from them. I have used their devices and haven't had any problems per se (work devices that is) but personally, I trust other brands more than Samsung. Also had some poor experiences with their support in the past. I will steer clear.

def the blue light filter activated >< I have it active on my 7 and it makes the screen redish, if there's another setting on top of that... @coth : ok for the 1st video but the 2nd one...do the phones have the same software version ? colors and the white changes almost every update of the android system also that 2nd video is basically my phone without or with the blue led filter this is nowhere near the problems high-end gaming monitors have http://www.overclock.net/t/1526956/guide-to-the-problems-with-the-asus-rog-swift

TBH, 1st video it is standard color shift caused by viewing angle of display. But badness of it is amplified by taking this through camera as you can see traveling moire effect on screen. So in reality it is no that "bad". They can go back to TN/TFT. Or alt for IPS/retina. But they have it too to certain degree. Super AMOLED is lighter, has wider color range, higher maximum brightness than IPS (better readability in sunlight) and is thinner. 2nd can easily be night mode/low blue light mode. You know, there are laws protecting customers. Here, if we buy something online, we have 14 days to return it and we do not need any reasons as we did not have opportunity to see/test device in shop. And even if you order it online and pick it in shop, this protection still applies. If you are buying in shop, you can still check screen. Going back few years to HTC EVO 3D and similar with TN... Sun readability close to none. Bulky screen meant heavier and bigger phone. Viewing angles... Basic color representation... What? Those were much, much worse even at their best. = = = = My next phone after SGS6e will be another OLED type phone, unless there is something better.

IPS doesn't have such a noticeable color shift at angles. There is no any night mode or blue light mode. And this is exactly how it looks in reality. I didn't check it in shop. After many years with Sharp displays i couldn't even imagine displays are that bad in Shamesung. And Sharp is much better in sunlight. Wider color gamut is effectively killed by Shamesung software oversaturation "improvements" that applied in any display mode. In reality color reproduction is far worse than Sharp. This was my first phone and apparently the last device from Shamesung. Not going to buy anything from them anymore. Hope it's going to bankrupt and taken over by somebody more respectful to its customers.

In contrast to you, I hope Samsung is here to stay. I kind of like their investment into OLED and their other technologies. Like Memories. I guess you heard about them, they are kind of best at this moment. Or maybe you heard that they make quite a few microchips, soon at 10nm. Apple makes some chips for their phones in Samsung's factories time to time. And they are not only ones. I kind of like their collaboration with GloFo. And I can go on and on, but you already get idea that your wish would bite you in your arse soon enough.

It's not a software problem. It's a physical problem. Either defective panel, poor filters or poor assembly with inconsistent glue. Or even few problems in one. This defect is very widespread. But what's worse - Shamesung reject to do anything.
