I'm sorry, do you not understand the purpose of it? Or are you just acting dumb for the sake of it?

Usually, they are the fastest cards released. This one though, since nvidia has decided to...lock 3rd party manufacturers to a specific frequency, does make me wonder what the point is...did they pre-OC it and find out these specific cards have high tolerances towards overclocking it, and then set them back to standard? If that's the case i get it, i guess?

Given current pricing due to mining, may as well get a cheaper 1080.

@aura if like some of the first hof cards I think they have a button on it when pushed it gets clocked and the fans spin up to full

As much as i would want that to be the case, since that would effectively make (to my knowledge) the first factory-overclocked 1070 ti, i'm just not sure i can believe it? By that i mean, nvidia has purposefully made sure that no manufacturer is allowed to change the frequencies on these things, so i can't imagine that such a loophole could exist that all manufacturers would have to do is....let you press a button?

The fourth picture shows the button right beside the various display ports and says "HyperBoost - One key to boost the performance - Safe and Easy" So I think Cowie is spot on here.
