They're only interested in letting others do the work and then cashing in 😀

mods or no mods doesnt change my life..but the game developer getting 45% is unfair to the mod creator i must say

Thank goodness this is already dead!
I hope this opens some eyes among Valve fanboys. They started even banning people who criticized this idiocy. Valve is after new revenue sources because their growth potential has quite much saturated. There just isn't more players, so they need to take more money from existing ones. And I believe they will continue in this path. All this Steam hardware and consolising PC gaming is just another part of this sceme. And I wouldn't be surprised to see some other micro-payment systems too in the future.

Also forcing a paid mod model on a 4 year old game with a well established modding community where mods are shared freely probably was not the best idea.
Nothing about it was "forced"

(note, not number of accounts, i believe they stated what they mean by active users once, but i don't recall exactly what was said, but that it made sense) 2009 - 25 million active users 2010 - 30 million active users September 2011 - 35 million active users November 2012 - 50 million active users January 2014 - 75 million active users September 2014 - 100 million active users February 2015 - 125 million active users And if you want concurrent users (which don't really tell much since the world revolves/not everyone is logged on all day/etc.) January 2012 - 5 million concurrent users November 2012 - 6 million concurrent users December 2014 - 7 million concurrent users June 2014 - 8 million concurrent users January 2015 - 8.5 million concurrent users April 2015 - 9.1 million concurrent users etc. etc. So i'm not sure where you're getting your information

What about the mod that popped up asking you to pay every 1/25 spell casts?
