Wow, well done to G.Skill. Great company and reputable, good on them.

i agree, well done to them.

Yeh but what is the latency like...

That is pretty fast 🙂 Just like to point out that DDR4 is not the same as going from DDR->DDR2->DDR3 DDR3->DDR4 isn't a doubling of the date signalling from x8 to x16 per clock. Apparently its more analogous of what happenned when they went from GDDR3 to GDDR5. Here is a page in French (sorry) that explains DDR4 quite well 🙂 http://www.hardware.fr/articles/924-4/ddr4-problematique-frequence.html The table near the bottom was the one that I was most interested in : the one about tCCD and tCCD_L The data rate is still at 8x like DDR3, its just that there are intermediary multipliers now it seems, so some memory frequencies would seem to be more advantageous than others. Also, it would seem that memory sticks, purporting to be the exact same speed, could in fact have different multipliers, and be very different in real world testing. memory just got a lot more complicated (but it gives us another thing to tinker with and Overclock 🙂)

if these speeds are reched within such short time of release , well least we can say DDR 4 looks promising

Tbh I'll just wait until memory becomes unified between the GPU and CPU, it has to happen right? When will we be plugging DDR5 into out Mobos? At this point though I'd just be happy with SoC and not being able to upgrade, I mean whenever I buy a new CPU it always needs a new mobo, which I end up getting ram for and I end up buying a new GPU for the hell of it.
