This is the third time For Honor has been given away for free. If it's been more often, that's news to me. Seems like that game doesn't sell very well.

For Honor has been quite enjoyable multiplayer game, but I hope it will not turn to trash by Ubisoft's infamous updates. It is pretty wonderous that Ubisoft has created two most innovative multiplayer games in recent history: For Honor and Rainbow: Six Siege. Siege was originally the best multiplayer shooter I have ever played, but in two years it turned to be a completely different game with weird operators, more focus on gadgets than teamplay, change of mood and what else? Sure, it was somewhat buggy at the release, but it was very coordinated team game, which demanded you to communicate and plan. I'm very saddened that Ubisoft went and monetized the game to be full of ridiculous changes.
For Honor though is still playable and there is really only one bad hero, which is the latest Hitokiri. I think the very latest one was introduced last weekend, which I have to try out now and I have to admit, I expect the worst. Ubisoft makes occasionally very good games, but they do not care about legacy too much. They change their games, release them in buggy state, may monetize them and they listen to the community rather uneagerly (thankfully not too much like EA does). Still, For Honor is a very innovative close combat multiplayer game with depth more than it may appear to have. Now when it's free you should definetly try it out, but remember to play training stages, because you surely haven't played a game like this before.
Adding content and changing a game, updates in general, are not always a good thing!
PS. Upcoming Roller Champions might be another very innovative and fun multiplayer title from Ubi that I'm looking forward to. It doesn't look too fancy, but people nowadays should be better than just staring at marketing and flashy things. Gamers these days are so easy to fool.
PPS. Just tried For Honor's new update and yes, it sucks like the last one. The new character looks like some guy from Africa and his voicework sounds like something from a Sims game. GG Ubi!

Oh man, Alan Wake was a great game, very creepy and kinda scary because your character is not overpowered, just has a torch for a lot of the time if I remember rightly. I remember it being a really good narrative, and it felt like an open world game, even though I don't think it was open world - it felt there was a lot to explore, both with characters you met & the environment. Great atmosphere, good story. I look back on it with the same fondness as the Mass Effect games in terms of how immersive the world & story felt - games don't feel like that anymore, or maybe I've changed, or been spoilt by high octane multiplayer shooters!
