Isn't Epic itself being targeted by these kinds of lawsuits? Shitty company ...

Car manufacturers actually pay to have their cars in games.

Could they just take all of them? They are the most annoying thing in the game then the clothes. Iām in a car,to drive shallow fluff every reward wheelspin that brings nothing to the game.

How can the Floss guy sue Epic for something that isn't his anyway? Weird AF.

Nothing of substance was lost, but no doubt they as simply taking a precautionary measure just in case.

Not even HAL was that fearful, paranoid and sociopathic...

I suspect they just don't want to deal with a law suite. You can trademark a dance move and its name but really don't think that would hove up here.

You can't copyright these short sequences of moves.
This is the government copyright office doc.
https://www.copyright.gov/circs/circ52.pdf
"Individual movements or dance steps by themselves are not copyrightable, such as the basic waltz step, the hustle step, the grapevine, or the second position in classical ballet. The U.S. Copyright Office cannot register short dance routines consisting of only a few movements or steps with minor linear or spatial variations, even if a routine is novel or distinctive.
Examples of commonplace movements or gestures that do not qualify for registration as choreographic works or pantomimes include
ā¢ A set of movements whereby a group of people spell out letters with their arms
ā¢ Yoga positions
ā¢ A celebratory end zone dance move or athletic victory gesture"
These morons just capitulated to something wherein the plaintiffs simply have no case whatsoever.
