Only 178 RTX2080Ti ? That's really dissapointing, I see everywhere comments like "umagash I have my ayymd vii and thredriper to folder@home non stop plus my bicicle to work for kuwait-19"
xd is this a new trend to flex and lie that you're giving your resources?

no, that's philanthropy for poor people. Rich people fund $millions into scientists that know what they are doing.

Hope it helps, but don't forget that 30 years latter, we still don't have a vaccine for VIH.

Here I come, not 24/7 but a little help.

Wonderful!!
Curiously, I didn't see any more TrumParrot claiming that it is less deadly than a common flu.

@Hilburt so many thousands of people's computers around the world can only compute the equivalent of 178 2080ti GPUs?!? That has to be a typo. Must be 1,780,000 GPUs. 24,000,000 teraflops ÷ 13.5 teraflops (one 2080ti GPU) = 1,777,777.

How did this thread turn into such garbage posts?

Its amazing the power scientists have at their disposal today. Pity they can't do anything with that power. Did any of these seti@home and folder@home projects solved anything in all of these years? I think the real problem is lack of brain power not compute power. No brilliant scientists available on a time we most need them.

Either the Linux version is very poorly optimized or someone is contributing oodles of really mediocre cores, because the total core count is similar to Windows but the total FLOPS is weirdly very far off.
I wouldn't be surprised if there are a handful of POWER or SPARC systems out there. They offer a whole lot of threads but they're not all that great.
