1. No one was complaining about the absence of women before this was announced, so your narrative about SJWs seems pretty trite.
2. You're in the group now complaining that there are women. You're the only one triggered either way by this.
Before I go into this next part I'd like to point out that many of the weapons and vehicles in this game were concepts at the time, the game does not pretend to be historically accurate by any means.
But you're re-writing history by pretending women didn't fight, when a cursory google search will show you:
1. Russian battalions consisting of only women.
2. Finnish troops of women in their Civil war with Russia during WW1
Plus thousands of women on or near the front lines in medical roles which can easily be added in an update if only they could come up with a class for them to fill.
Your complaint is one borne of a delusion and hatred. Get over it, there's going to be female soldiers in battlefield and no amount of your whining is going to do a thing about it.

I enjoyed BF1 from a gameplay point of view immensely (it was best for me since BFBC2), and even the WW1 settings got me excited from the start as I love WW1/WW2, BUT the amount of political correctness that went into this game just for a specific 2017 worldview and NOT historical facts is ridiculous.
IF they TRULY wanted to be historically accurate and correct they would not have portrayed the Central Powers as absolute evil, hell they could have made some great campaign missions from German/Austrian etc. perspective too. But no, not a single one. Yes, there were women fighting, same for colonial troops, but they way they are portrayed in the game makes it look like this was the norm, and it most certainly was not.
Little things like this, added up and combined with other forms of pushing a "liberal"/leftist/antifa (or whatever you want to call it) agenda will lead, eventually to REAL extremism and violence. But you know what, from how things are going, I'm pretty sure that's the endgame in itself, to beat and kill each other, it's been a while after all.

They use multiple weapons/vehicles in battles that they were never in for the sake of gameplay. Not to mention that battles that were won by a side in real life, obviously are balanced 50/50 in the game. So clearly they didn't want it to be "truly" historical.
The women issue and the central powers issue are completely separate and I'm not even convinced that central power one is a leftist one. I think women should be included but I complained about the lack of central power campaign when the game launched. What does that make me?
There were no major complaints or riots or anything about lack of female characters in the game in any of the forums I browse. And even if they didn't fight in WW1, the sacrifices they made off the battlefield would never be represented in any video game anyway. So what's wrong with including them in a non-historical but representative way in a game that's not historical to begin with?
I don't see the issue here.

And once again, so you can understand from within your safespace, nobody is denying the contributions of women during the conflicts, however their contribution during ACTUAL COMBAT is uncomparable Especially in Russian army to the Millions of dead Men. However I understand, that is hard to digest for a feminist.

Wow how much people get upset over a skin in a video game.
Just one little thing, if anybody is worried about the youth and what they could learn about history from a computer game; just teach them better if you have kids. Tell them to listen in school, not take every video game's content as granted and 100% true. It's as easy as that...

Of course its controversial. Some guy on these forums a few months back was complaining about Mass Effect Andromeda having too many women in powerful positions in the game and he wanted to stop playing it.
