Well at least speaking for myself, good news. As I haven't even started Fallout 4, played it for 30 mins at lunch, got bored, deleted. This seems like a good opportunity to play a polished game. 🙂
And now they aren't?

I like the Elder Scrolls and Fallout games but this is one of the most poorest releases to date, bug ridden - antiquated game engine that cannot do what is being asked of it and a game that is designed more for the consoles users not for PC.

It's funny- because....that's what is said about every bethesda game released, every time, yet people forget it, every time.

That's a good one 😀 I play Fallout 4 right now, bought it in Steam sales this year and i enjoy it, because i just love to build settlements. But man, the freaking bugs that were reported a year ago are still there, this is so frustrating. But Bethesda is already counting money for the VR shait, so all is OK i guess 🙁

It looks like an OK game but not game of the year material. But then again these days it seems like every game is labelled game of the year just by the hype itself. Meh im cold on this one...

LOL.. This game is not even fully playable without Unofficial Patch, still has many broken quests, broken random encounters and random save game corruption, but still some folks will pay again for those! :P

I too got the game @ release and have only logged about 10 hours of play, got bored and uninstalled it.

I'll pick this up during a Steam Sale next summer or later when it will hopefully be $19.99... I'm far enough behind on games I need to play that I haven't even looked closely at Fallout 4 yet 😛 even although I know I'll have fun tinkering with mods if nothing else.

this. I had to use a mod-patch to make it work...
But the worst is enormous full-set of unpatched bugs (even with the "unofficial patch" there are tons of bugs in the main quest as well).
And the companions? Oh that companions.. Those stupid NPCs that try to pick up you every-time you are near them, with the "Paladin" Dense running on wastelands with the same pattern of the dog...
But the worst thing is the un-patchable crappy AI of settlers: that atrocious AI which degrade with time among the meaningless limitations and bad design of settlements, all these ruin what could be a really nice part of the game..

Bethesda really ought to make a multiplayer game for the Fallout series. You can only play a single-player game for so long.

never likes the series, if it dirt cheap and has all the addons i might, Then agian i still ave yet to beat skyrim, witcher 2, witcher 3, dragona dogma, Deux EX MD, list goes on, hell some of these i didnt download yet

I think you misinterpret what "game of the year" means when it comes to a video game.

there engines are fine, they do need to acual FIX the many bug/broke questions in there games though. when the Majority of people play there games are using "unofficial" "input game name" patches just to make them play able something is wrong
Cant really vouch for Fallout 4 but there Animations leave lot to be desired too in there games

The engines are not fine. Well, the shadow rendering part the engines is not fine. It has to be the engine with the worst shadows (visuals and performance) that exists today.
