RevoDrive 400, really interesting to see another NVMe drive to battle Samsung 950 in m.2 pci-e 3 x4 slot performance market. Specs looks good let's see prices.

Yeah that Revo400 looks interesting. I'm currently waiting for a 1TB 950 but if something else comes along that matches the performance for a decent price (needs to be much lower than Intel's 750) then I'll pick it up.

Those speeds are amazing, i bet the price is too, still waiting on SSD and the like, prices to drop down to HDD prices, till that happens SSD will never replace hdd

6.4 TB SSD? That's pretty sweet, but I'll have to admit the 400 series in a 1 TB version is what I'm most curious about (since I'm sure the 600 series is pretty $$$$$$$$$$$). šŸ¤“

although this looks good, if I'm gonna drop a ton of cash on any new fast storage, its going to be Intel's 3d Xpoint drives "Optane".

It's going to be a while still before SSDs are price competitive with HDDs.... I'd venture to guess at least a few more years. Right now, you can get a 1TB HDD for roughly the price of a 120GB SSD and a 2TB for roughly the price of a 250GB SSD. Of course, pricing all depends on where you're shopping and my comparisons are based on prices at retailers local to me. SSD's still have a horrible cost/performance ratio compared to some (*cough* Seagate *cough*) mechanical drives. The read/write speeds for my Crucial M4 256GB is barely faster than my 1TB Seagate Barracuda....but I paid $60 for the Seagate whereas a 256GB SSD runs $120+. The only drives that really make sense, are the NVMe drives with insanely fast read/write speeds. I'm holding out for a price drop on the 512GB drives before I "upgrade"....
