Have nVidia got an Async-capable GPU yet? Or have the fans beaten them to it XD

Stop beating the same old horse thrice, it's been dead for ages.

The Fanboy is strong in this one.

I wont use Evga precision I use MSI AB and RTSS and after what EVGA tried to pull with Unwinder work i wont either, MSI AB/RTSS is superior anyway. Glad they fixing VRM issue not sure how I feel about left fan possible running slower or faster then right fan and vis versa, I Think all fan should run same speed be it cpu/case/gpu fan. I not even fan of the fans dont spin till it hits a certain temp on the gpu.

Yes, 1080 and 1070 have proper async features. If you missed that, please read review here, on Guru3D.

Well-done EVGA. We definately need "We can't f*** this up ™" cooling technology

and somehow they managed to make it run a littler hotter and added a 30 dollar price hike.. geez

Im passing on this. I already upgraded the cooling on my card via RMA with the added thermal pads and $100 bucks isn't worth it. For a little more money depending on where you look you can get the hybrid kit which has even better cooling than icx.

Great to hear they went overboard with this new design to safe face. On a side note , i have just read this new icx video cards have a different pcb layout therefore if you have a custom full cover water block for your existing acx 3.0 GTX 1080 or GTX 1070 it wont fit , please beware and have this in mind if you are into the step up program from acx 3.0 to icx over at eVGA. Also i believe $100US Dollars is a little too much for such little benefits , bare in mind you will play the silicon lottery all over again if you decide to go that route you might end up with a potato dud overclocker video card , just a heads up.

Plus depending on where you are shopping from you can get their hybrid cooler for $20 bucks more or so which should be better than the ICX cooler. If you wanted a cooler upgrade and wanted to go to liquid cooling.

Indeed another great option and less money spent !

What is the point of this? Shouldn't a GPU be designed so you dont need to monitor 9 extra heat points? I guess with EVGA and their paper-thin, cheap cooling solutions it might be needed.

I hope the other vendors will copy this for future cards. I wouldn't pay for an upgrade like this but, as an included feature with a new card it'd be useful.

Why would you though? stock cooling is more than enough for any card even overclocked. Mine is OC'd to **** and it still never goes over 60 c even on a 40c day here in Australia. Waste of money

They (hybrid) are quieter and better at cooling. You're only running 960. It isn't comparable at full load.
