how are there efforts on Shader compilation studder? that plags damn never everything pc game using there engine? I asking for freind over at DF, I think there depressed cause of the issue is getting worse not better among other things like complete lack optimizations though bulk of this works is was supposed to be done by Epic seeing it is there engine 🙄

Looking Forward to the new TR as always, but they have adopted the unreal engine 5 for the next game. Although, its probably fair to say their own in house engine was better than unreal 4 by some margin. So unreal 5+ is either really something special or Square Enix/ Crystal Dynamics have been given some kind of sweetener to use it. Hmm. o_O

Fortnite is butter smooth, maybe other developers suck?

Kind my point if epic just bakes the fix in we wont have to suffer developers not wanting to be bothered

It may depends also by many factors: shader complexity and rendering feature used, as well buffers and texture resolutions (not only albedo, but also and especially render-to-texture surfaces)
