Surely hope so they will be better because their current CPU waterblocks are worse than Enermax AIO and are as much as 14 degrees behind competition like XSPC RayStorm, Watercool HEATKILLER® IV PRO or Aquacomputer cuplex kryos NEXT.

On Intel CPU EK Supermacy blocks perfom pretty much within 1-5°C from Heatkiller IV Pro, Aquacomputer Kryos NEXT, XSPC or Koolance etc which I cannot say about their AMD TR4 "ThreadRipper" blocks which are just poor blocks I switched from EK Supermacy EVO to Aquacomputer Kryos on my build and gained around 5-6°C on PKG on my 5960x Hope this helps Thanks, Jura

Do you have a source for this? 14 degree difference in CPU block seems like an abnormally high number.

This should help, its EK Supermacy ThreadRipper TR4 vs Heatkiller, XSPC Raystorm etc https://images.hardocp.com/images/articles/1519279007f4wbo5i5wz_3_4.png On Intel CPU they perform as I said within 1-5°C from each other Hope this helps Thanks, Jura

Forgot to add, they later on released updated cold plate which has been sold for extra £20-£25 I think but still I wouldn't touch that block on ThreadRipper As you can see from HardOCP review, this ThreadRipper Supermacy block has performed pretty poorly Barrow or Bykski ThreadRipper blocks performed better than this one Hope this helps Thanks, Jura

Jura11...you just solved what i thought was a persistent problem...my tr4 has the EK block (whole loop) and i thought my temps were bad silicon lottery. i was a sucker. just goes to show you should never pre-order a damn thing.

There are actually 3 revisions of EK TR4 block. 1gen: Terrible due to small coverage and poor cold plate, 2gen: Terrible due to small coverage, with updated cold plate, 3rd gen, full-coverage. The final version is only few months old and has performance within 1 degree off HK IV and Raystorm, it has been recently benchmarked but otherwise slipped the public. There is still room for improvement but it's tiny. I've recently built it on 2990WX@MSI MEG and the performance is nothing short of flawless. But if you want the absolute best you can stick with Heatkiller IV. Now I am looking to put a loop onto my 7980XE build but looks like this release is only cpu-blocks and monoblocks won't be updated.

I bought the original block as well. I eventually replaced it with a monoblock after I got a rebate code from EK.

Well I am currently using EK monoblock on Croshair 6 Hero with 1800x and my temperature is not that great 45-50 degrees at idle and going to 69 under load. Talking about Tdie temperature at stock speeds. Used corsair AIO shortly and as far as I remember temperatures were bit lower. BTW I had even to use thicker thermal pad on SOC VRM as with original one It was not stable and upon disassembly find out there were no impressions on pads from VRM.

Hi there I would suggest get Heatkiller IV Pro, XSPC Raystorm or Bykski TR4 if you want have lower temperatures With earlier EK TR4 blocks there is definitely problem with cold plate which doesn't cover dies etc and therefore temperatures are lot higher, in many cases earlier EK TR4 block performed on par with Enermax TR4 AIO I have done two builds with ThreadRipper 1950X,on one have used Bykski and on other one have used on friend build Heatkiller IV and both friends are happy with their builds and temperatures I would say are pretty comparable, with Heatkiller temperatures are better by 2-5°C on load, in rendering or Bionic or Folding@home temperature difference is 1.5-2°C Hope this helps Thanks, Jura

Hi there Have tried only two monoblocks on two builds and in both cases they're performed worse than normal waterblock in one case temperatures has been worse by 10°C and in second case temperatures has been worse by 6-8°C Still not sure if I would use monoblock on any build, off course with monoblock you are cooling as well VRM but in many cases you don't need to cool them, if yes check Watercool VRM blocks, what I like on monoblock is look but that's it Due this if you have budget get normal waterblock like is Heatkiller IV Pro, EK Supermacy or something along these lines Hope this helps Thanks, Jura
